Free Flying Festival 2006, Bright
The Free Flying Festival in Bright is a regular event organised by the NEVHGC. It consists from several fun competitions and displays. It is lavishly sponsored by a couple of businesses and the prizes pool is often a several thousand Dollars. This year was very successful, despite of a rather unkind weather that reduced the amount of the flying events. Nevertheless, there was a lot of fun there and something for everybody - hangglider and paraglider pilots, their families and the general public as well. Many thanks to the organisers, mainly to the two ladies behind the scenes: Carol Binder and Heather Muller.

The flying Masquerade has been replaced by a Ground handling Masquerade due to a strong wind.

These fairies obviously found hanggliders as a strong competition and disappeared in a puff of dust before dusk.

An amazing job by the local skin-paint artist Heather, one of the main organisers
